Application Scenarios
● Industrial Acid-Resistant Equipment Construction:
Used for equipment foundations, acid storage tanks, workshop floors, and trenches in chemical, petroleum, metallurgy, and other industries subject to acid corrosion. It can also be used for chimney linings exposed to gaseous acid corrosion, for making acid-resistant mortar to build acid-resistant bricks and panels, or mixed with acid-resistant aggregates to prepare acid-resistant concrete.
● Special Building Foundations and Structures:
Suitable for building foundations and structures in acidic soil areas, such as foundations of sulfuric acid plants and chemical plants.
● Water Body Impermeability Treatment:
Can be used for impermeability treatment of water bodies in sewage treatment plants, chemical plants, and wastewater treatment facilities.
Usage Methods and Precautions
● Mixing Method:
When mixing mortar or acid-resistant concrete, a hardener sodium fluorosilicate must be added and fully mixed with acid-resistant cement, preferably sieved twice, then mixed with water glass solution with specific gravity between 1.38-1.45 and modulus between 2.60-2.80. Mixing with water is strictly prohibited.
● Construction Time:
Each batch of mortar should be less than 100 kg, and the prepared mortar must be used within 45 minutes. Tools and containers used must be free of moisture or other impurities. When laying acid-resistant bricks, staggered joints should be observed.
● Base Treatment:
Before construction, metal equipment should be derusted and cleaned; brick structures should be washed clean; alkaline ordinary cement surfaces should be neutralized with acid and then washed with water, followed by heating and drying. Moisture content generally should be below 4%.
● Curing Requirements:
Acid-resistant cement should harden at temperatures above 10°C and be cured in air for about 10-20 days. During curing, avoid exposure to steam, water, or direct sunlight to prevent cracking. Any cracks should be repaired promptly.
● Acid Treatment:
After curing and drying, acid treatment should be performed by applying 40% sulfuric acid to the surface every 4 hours. Crystals formed should be scraped off before the next application until no crystals appear. After acid treatment, the product can be put into use.
