Acid-resistant cement is a special type of cementitious material made by carefully proportioning ingredients, with acid-resistant aggregates (such as quartz and diabase) and acid-resistant binders (such as water glass and resins) as its core components. This material can maintain structural integrity and functional performance even under long-term erosion by acidic substances (both organic and inorganic acids).

Scope of application
● Industrial acid-resistant equipment construction:
It is used for equipment foundations, acid storage tanks, workshop floors, trenches, and other structures in industries such as chemical engineering, petroleum, and metallurgy that are subject to acid corrosion. It can also be applied as a lining for chimneys exposed to gaseous acid corrosion. Furthermore, it can be used to prepare acid-resistant mortar for laying acid-resistant bricks and panels, or mixed with acid-resistant aggregates to produce acid-resistant concrete.
● Special building foundations and structures:
Foundations and structures for buildings located in acidic soil areas, such as foundations for sulfuric acid plants and chemical plants.
● Waterproofing treatment for water bodies:
It can be used for seepage control in water bodies at wastewater treatment plants, chemical plants, and other similar facilities, as well as in wastewater treatment systems.

Construction scene
Workers are mixing, spreading, and leveling acid-resistant cement on the workshop floor.

Precautions
● Allocation method:
When preparing mortar or acid-resistant concrete, a hardening agent—sodium fluorosilicate—must be added and thoroughly mixed with the acid-resistant cement. It is best to sieve the mixture twice. Then, mix it with a water glass solution having a specific gravity between 1.38 and 1.45 and a modulus between 2.60 and 2.80. Mixing with water is strictly prohibited.
● Construction time:
It is advisable to mix no more than 100 kilograms of mortar each time. The prepared mortar must be used within 45 minutes. All tools and containers used must be free of moisture and other impurities. When laying acid-resistant bricks, pay attention to staggering the joints.
● Substrate preparation:
Before construction, metal equipment should be de-rusted and cleaned of dirt. Brick structures should be thoroughly washed. For surfaces made of ordinary alkaline cement, first neutralize the alkalinity with acid, then rinse thoroughly with water, and finally heat and dry them. The moisture content should generally be below 4%.
● Maintenance requirements:
Acid-resistant cement should be allowed to harden at temperatures above 10°C and cured in air for about 10 to 20 days. During the curing period, avoid exposure to steam, water, or direct sunlight to prevent cracking. If cracks do appear, they should be repaired promptly.

Warehouse and Transportation Guide
After the maintenance coating has dried, an acid treatment must be carried out. Apply a 40% sulfuric acid solution to its surface every four hours, and each time remove the crystals that precipitate before the next application. Continue this process until no more crystals are formed. Once the acid treatment is complete, the surface can be put into service.
