Fast-hardening sulfoaluminate cement is a special type of cement characterized by ultra-high early strength and exceptionally rapid setting and hardening. By adjusting its formulation, it can meet the requirements of various applications, including waterproofing and leak sealing, rapid emergency repairs, expansion joint repairs, structural component casting, and artistry molding. Certified by the National Building Materials Testing Center, its performance metrics exceed those specified in GB 20472-2006 standard.

Core Technical Parameters
★ Specific surface area: The specific surface area shall be no less than 400 m²/kg.
★ Setting time: Initial setting no earlier than 25 minutes, final setting no later than 180 minutes; user requirements may be adjusted.
★ The alkalinity pH value shall not exceed 10.5.
★ Free Expansion Rate: 28-day free expansion rate 0.00%–0.10%

Core advantages
Performance characteristics
● Rapid hardening and early strength:
Its 12-hour strength can reach over 20 MPa, and its strength after 1 to 3 days can already match the 28-day strength of ordinary cement (for example, the 3-day compressive strength of Grade 42.5 cement ≥ 42.5 MPa), making it ideal for emergency repairs and rapid construction.
● Micro-expansive:
During the hardening process, a slight expansion occurs (expansion rate: 0.02%–0.1%), which can compensate for shrinkage and reduce cracking, making it particularly suitable for waterproofing and impermeability projects.
● Low heat of hydration:
The hydration exotherm has a low peak and a rapid exothermic rate, with a high proportion of heat released in the early stage (1–3 days) and relatively little heat released in the later stage. This makes it suitable for construction in low-temperature environments; however, for large-volume projects, careful attention must be paid to temperature control during the early stages.
● Strong frost resistance and impermeability:
It features a dense structure and outstanding resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, with a waterproofing grade of P12 or higher. It is suitable for applications in humid environments, areas subject to freeze-thaw cycles, or scenarios with high waterproofing requirements.
● Good corrosion resistance:
It exhibits strong resistance to aggressive media such as sulfates and seawater, surpassing that of ordinary Portland cement. It is suitable for use in corrosive environments like seaports and chemical plants.
● Low alkalinity:
The alkalinity (pH value around 10–12) of the hydration products is lower than that of ordinary cement, which can reduce the risk of alkali-aggregate reaction. It is suitable for special aggregate applications.
Application scenarios
● Emergency Repair Project:
Rapid repairs to roads, bridges, and airport runways—such as pothole filling and crack repair—can restore their functionality in a short period of time.
For emergency leak sealing in underground pipelines, tunnels, and other similar projects, its rapid hardening and slight expansion properties enable quick water stoppage.
● Construction engineering:
Winter-grade mortar (-10℃ and above can be used for construction)—no additional insulation measures required, allowing early strength development and shortening the construction period.
Rapid production of prefabricated components (such as precast floor slabs, beams, and columns) accelerates mold turnover efficiency.
● Waterproofing and Anti-seepage Engineering:
Waterproof concrete for basements, pools, and reservoirs, or used as waterproof mortar for kitchens, bathrooms, and roof waterproofing.
Self-stressing pipes (such as water conveyance pipelines) are manufactured using a slight expansion property to generate pre-compressive stress, thereby enhancing crack resistance.
● Special Environmental Engineering:
Concrete structures in marine environments such as harbors and docks, or corrosion-resistant flooring and equipment foundations in chemical plants.
For projects with a risk of alkali-aggregate reaction (such as those using reactive aggregates), low alkalinity can reduce the associated hazards.
● Functional materials:
Prepare early-strength grouting materials and anchoring agents (such as those used for fixing the base bolts of mechanical equipment) to ensure rapid load-bearing capacity.
It is compounded with fibers to produce crack-resistant mortar, which is used for wall plastering or thin-layer reinforcement.
Fast-hardening sulfoaluminate cement boasts core advantages of "fast hardening, early strength, and slight expansion," making it particularly suitable for time-sensitive projects, as well as for applications requiring impermeability, corrosion resistance, or operation in special environments. It is one of the preferred cement types for emergency repairs and functional buildings.
